I just recently purchased a Pioneer CD player, two 6 1/2 180w speakers (front) and two 6 1/2 220w speakers (rear). The stereo has 50w per channel for 4 speakers. I haven't installed any of it yet. I was wondering if I decide to buy an amp, how many watts do I need for this set up to boost the sound and still sound good. Thanks!

I would go with a minimum of a 600 watt, but I have the same sort of setup, and I have it running on a 1000 watt Audiobahn amp, and the sound is great. (2 Alpine R 6 1/2" rear and front) I would deffinitely recommend a 1000 watt, and make sure to spend the extra bit of cash on purchasing a few crossovers, it'll really save you a load of trouble and further boost sound quality
