Im new to Saturn performance. I just bought a 1994 SL1 M5 and am wondering what the compression ratio is. Are the pistons forged, cast, or hyper? Im curious b/c ive got a spare nitrous kit laying around that begs to be used. I've got a '94 z28Camaro that im spraying a 125 shot on with some bolt ons but stock bottom end. 417horsepowerand the stock bottom end is holding strong. Obviouslyim not goingto spray a 125 with theSaturn but what do you guys recommend? what are theweaknesses of this engine?Im not affraid of doing port work if the intake or heads need it? I just want to whoop on some riceboys around here. im looking for 250hp and not worried about the power band too much aslong as it saysaround 1500-6500. Its a manual so im not concerned with fuel economy.

NO SUCH THING. BTW.... SOHC is SLOOOOW. DOHC swap in your future if you want ANY type of power.

Appearantly.

Putting N2O on an SOHC turd is not going to get you anything but a blown engine. Swap to a DOHC engine, you can find parts from people on any of the following forums:
