Default 1991 SL fuel pressure regulator

My 91 SL1 runs terrible. It wont idle after the first start. I have to keep pumping the gas pedal to keep it runnung. After I can get it to run I can drive it. It will stall when I stop. I also have to keep pumping the pedal to keep it from stalling when I drive it. After I get it up to highway speed 65 mph. It will keep running but stutters badly at times. After it warms up it will idle real high when I come to a stop. If I'm at a traffic light it will idle about 3K and slowly go down to normall if I'm at the light long enough.

From what I've read on this site, it sounds like a ECTS and maybe a fuel pressure regulator????? I'm going to town to get the ECTS ( hopefully ) and maybe a regulator.

My question is how hard is it to change the regulator???

Thanks for any help on this

Change out the ECTS, then we'll discuss the fuel regulator .........

Ok I bought the ETCS and will replace it today if it warms up. I did however find the real issue with the car. I was talking to the guy at Autozone about it, and he said it sounds like water in the gas. I bought a bottle of HEET and dumped it in and filled the tank. I started the car to drive away from the pump and it ran perfect..
