1994 Saturn SC2 will not start HELP
Hi
My daughter has a 94 sc2.
It has a bit of a hesitation problem. I put new plugs and wires on it.
I used standard plugs not platinum and standard wires.
I cleaned out the EGR yesterday and it really did not help any.
I pulled the vacuum line off the EGR and it ran great no more hesitation ran great drove it for about a hour. I got home asked the daughter to take it out for a ride and it will not start.
I went out this morning started right up I re-attatched the vacuum line to the egr turned it off went back in the house, now it will not start at all.
It just cranks.
Does anyone have any ideas that they feel like sharing with me
Thanks in advance
Joe

From what you suggest, I'd suspect the ECTS sensor has gone bad. If it opened up, the ECU will think the engine is cold-cold all the time. Will start/run OK when cold, but after it warms up, it will not start. Sensor is located on the driver's side of the engine, just below where the radiator hose comes out of the engine. It is a two-wire sensor. Replace both the sensor and the connector with OEM parts if you can get them (about $40usd). Be sure the sensor has a brass/metal tip on it. It is a "wet" sensor, so have a rag handy, and work on the engine only when cold. Oh, and use teflon tape on the threads .......
