I have a 1999 SL2 4dr w/5spd that keeps acting like it''s going to stall on me. It doesn''t matter how fast (or slow) I am going. Every once in awhile it gives a little "kick", like it''s not getting fuel. It has now started to act like it''s going to stall while I''m idling (like at a stop light). It hasn''t actually quit on me, but I don''t know what the problem is. I have used fuel injector cleaner in the gas, but not sure if that''s the problem. Help!

Questions:

(1) Does this problem exist/occur regardless of how much fuel is in the tank ?

(2) Has the engine set any codes ?

(3) Have you recently started to get your gas a a different dealer ?

(4) How many miles on the vehicle ?

OceanArcher,

It doesn''t matter how much fuel is in the tank. I have been buying fuel from the same place since I bought the car, 3 yrs ago. I haven''thadany kind of dash lights come on indicating a problem. I have the oil changed like clock work and I don''t drive it "hard". The car has over 190,000 miles. I did put the injector cleaner in a couple days ago and it seems to be helping.

Thanks, arzkttn

Does it do this all the time, or only when it warms up? Has the ECTS (engine coolant temperature sensor) ever been changed?
