Default 2003 Saturn Ion Climate Control Bulb Replacement

I just replaced the lights or bulbs in my 2003 Saturn Ion Climate control dials. You need to remove the radio. plenty of videos on that. Here's one:
Remove the climate control unit, disconnect electrical plugs and 2 cables. Also videos on this, here's one:
Front cover comes off by depressing clips on top and bottom. The unit has 4 bulbs that illuminate the dials on the top. It also has 3 LED bulbs on the bottom that illuminate the 3 buttons. The 4 bulbs on top can be replaced with Radio Shack bulb number: 272-1154. Here is a link as long as it's active:

https://www.radioshack.com/products/...oCO4cQAvD_BwEI bought comparable bulbs from an electrical supply house that is local to me. The 4 bulbs are soldered onto the circuit board, so the old ones will have to be removed and the new ones re-soldered in. The original bulbs don't have the white stem you see on the Radio Shack bulbs and have a blue rubber cover on them. We removed the blue covers, trimmed them down a little to fit the Radio Shack bulbs and everything worked out perfect. Paul

Ah, Richpin. Knew as soon as I saw the blue gloves.

Thanks for the link up on the videos.
12V/50mA bulbs? Is that the OEM bulb rating or one you selected?
Please forgive me if the answer to this queation is in one of the vids.

Default Bulbs

The rating I got was from a video. However, they work perfect and illumination is exactly the same as the other 2 working bulbs.

I know this is thread is a few years old, but it is still relevant today. I found the OEM replacement bulbs on eBay listed as:

OSHINO 9570740 OL 4186 BPI T 1-1/4 14V 100MA LIGHT BULB INDICATOR PC LAMP USA

They are a T 1 1/4, 14Volt bulb pulling 100 milliamps at 14 volts. I measured both the original bulbs and the new bulbs and they pulled 90 milliamps at 12.6 volts. They have the same blue plastic base.

The new bulb is in the center, the old bulbs are on either side in this picture:

Just unsolder the old bulbs and solder these in. I transferred the tiny condoms to the new bulbs, but I’m not sure it matters.
