2003 Saturn Ion will not start
I have a 2003 Saturn ion fully loaded and once every three days or so i will get in the car, push the clutch to the floor, take it out of gear, put the key in (it is the original) and i will turn the key, it will turn over for about half a second, then stop, pass-lock light will flash i believe, and it will say service vehicle, and i can't do anything with the car until i go inside and putter around the house for about 10-15 minutes, after that i can try again, usually it will start, i have heard that it is the key switch, but before i go out and spend the money on a key switch i would like to get a second opinion, it has been 3 days since it has done this, once it does it again i will log the exact things that happens down to the code that the car is throwing (i borrowed a buddies code reader).
other than this issue, the car is GREAT, i love the freaken thing, why did Saturn ever go out of business

Take a look at the link below ............... Something I should have added a long time ago and didn't.
Saturn is gone because Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Hummer, and Saab is gone. Buick would have been gone because SATURN outsold Buick along with Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Hummer, and SAAB. Problem is GM could not have kept it's dealer network healthy if they would have left them with nothing but Caddy and GMC trucks they needed more to survive. That more is BUICK. Much more cost effective to close 300 plus free standing SATURN retailers than maybe loosing 700-800 other non Chevy retailers. GM was not about to shut down Caddy and GMC.
