Hello,

My wife has a 97 SL2.After not using the air conditioner all winter, she found that it no longer works at all when she tried to use it a few days ago. I got one of those recharge kits. I hooked up the guage and found that it has plenty of pressure. According to the documentation, the system does not need recharged since it is showing enough pressure. I dont know much about cars. What else could I check?

Do you have the ability to confirm if there is voltage getting to the compressor? Also, not sure, but wondering if this system has a high/low pressure cutout switch which could be bad. On older GM cars, these are typically located near the accumulator on the suction side. I'll look at my '99 tonight to see what else is on this type of system(just got my car last week).
