ABS Master Cylinder Guidance

ABS Master Cylinder Guidance
Could anyone guide me to posts regarding Master Cylinder replacement for an SL2 w ABS?
Have made several searches - lots of threads about brake bleeding (!), just looking for some basic do's/don't. Acquired a gently used (80k mile) SL2 and have brake pedal which goes nearly to bottom of its travel.
Haynes manual is non-informative at best - other than to say that a "home mechanic" can't replace the Master Cylinder in an ABS equipped Saturn due to lack of "special tools".
Just fought my way through a window motor replacement - hoping the MC replacement is easier!

I believe 2000 to 2002 master w abs are the same
I keep seeing 91 to 99 master w abs are the same.
S series DID have optional ABS all the way back in 91.
My bad. Traction control arrived optional in 95.
Abs pump modules?
That needs to be looked up if the OP returns

Have both ABS and Traction Control in my 1993 SL2. Knew original owner and believed he ordered every option there was - which 31 years later make finding replacement parts that much harder. Try to locate a “Euro” leather seat!
Only 80k miles, so trying to keep the old girl on the road. Unfortunately finding zero quality details, videos, etc. on brake master cylinder replacement.

The control assembly drive gears are under spring tension and will turn during disassembly if not unloaded. To remove tension, use the SATURN scan tool or equivalent to perform the ``RUN ABS MOTOR, PISTONS DOWN-REL,'' before removing the brake control assembly. Do not drive vehicle with anti-lock brake control assembly in the tension released position. Excessive brake pedal travel and reduced brake effectiveness could occur. Always perform ``RUN ABS MOTORS, PISTONS UP-HOME,'' before driving vehicle.
1. Disconnect battery cables, then remove battery from vehicle.
2. Disconnect two electrical connectors from solenoid valves, then the brake fluid level sensor connector at the master cylinder.
3. Remove CPA locking pin from 6-way motor pack connector, Fig. 63.
4. Placing a shop cloth on top of the motor pack assembly, remove brake line fitting nuts from modulator. Plug open lines to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
5. Remove two brake control assembly to brake booster attaching nuts.
6. Remove brake control and master cylinder assembly from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install, torque assembly to brake booster attaching nuts to 20 ft. lbs. and brake line fitting nuts to 18 ft. lbs.
