I've read the article at http://www.differentracing.com/tech_articles/index.html about pulling codes with a jumper.

My question is can this work on a 97 sl1?

The reason why I ask is that at the top of the article

Diagnostic Trouble Code Information

it states: 1991-1995 S-Series Only (OBD-I)

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

I just checked the manual and you can't jump for codes.

So my question is for any Canadian members.

Is there any big chain like Autozone, here in Canada that scans for codes for free.

Canadian tire wants $80 plus tax just to scan.

Any OBD2 Scan Tool recommendations?

For a few bucks more you can pick up an interface cable to connect to a laptop or PC. I use this:

In the USA you can buy an OBD2 Scanner for under $80 and it will come with everything you need. By the way newer Saturns now have a different code reader- dealer only. Wonder why?
