Default Headlight question

I have a 1995 SC2 and when ever I close the electric headlights there is a loud grinding sound from the passenger headlight assembly for about 5 seconds after the headlight closes. Can someone tell me what causes this and how I can fix it? Thanks for any help.

Any way you could post a video or sound clip? It may be something as simple as something caught in the assembly to a gear stripping in the motor.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

To the inside edge of each headlight is a manual raise-lower **** (covered by a rubber boot which just pulls off). You will likely notice that the two headlights are at different "positions" with regards to how many turns of the **** it takes to hit the limit.

KEEP TRACK OF THE NUMBER OF TURNS ON GOOD ONE SO YOU CAN PUT IT BACK PROPERLY.

Adjust the offending headlight to match the properly functioning one.
Have had to do this twice during the life of my 95SC2.
Quite empirical but works for me

Default Thanks

I will try to get some audio of the headlight assembly. The lights go up and down the same, but it is like the sensor for when it is closed it is not telling the headlight motor to shut off.
