Default Anti-Theft Help

I have a 1998 Saturn SL2 and I'd like to replace the radio unit, but I've heard that there is an anti-theft lock of some sort. The current head unit is a JVC KD-HDR1, and I'd like to put in a factory unit from a junk yard, do I have anything to worry about in terms of the anti-theft system?

Question I want to get a stock radio for my Saturn, but...

I have a 1998 Saturn SL2 with a JVC KD-HRR1 radio unit in it and I'd like to replace it with an original Saturn stock radio from the junk yard. I've heard that there is some sort of anti-theft system on Saturn radios, is this really anything to worry about? Can someone give me more information or tell me how to bypass this if it becomes a problem?

You will only have a problem if the previous owner locked the radio to prevent theft. I have never found one locked yet.

You only need to post one thread.
