Does anyone have any quick tricks or cheap ways that I can get some extra horsepower out of my 2000 SC1? I bought it this summer because I needed a good mpg car due to lots of work travel. I wanted to hold out for an SC2, but just couldn''''t find one quick enough with good miles and condition. Anyway, so I have the SC1, but I''''m use to having much faster cars than this. Any ideas to give it a lil'' boost??? I haven''t found many performance upgrade ideas... Thanks. Edited by: Timbersong

Do you have any estimates on cost to swap out the sohc for a dohc??? And, once I do, what else can I do in addition? Are there more upgrades avail for the dohc, or just the 24hp that comes with the dohc? Thank for the quick info.

there''s a sight that sells cheap chips that actually worked for my friend 240sx. its around 80 bucks an they program for your specific car. i called an asked if it was possible for mine an they said they can do it an it''ll add up to 35 hp possible an its not hard at all to install an wont affect your stock computer. also an intake helped my car alot on acceleration.

Yeah sorry to let you know but like sw2cam said, they won''t affect our saturn performance at all, so don''t waste your money on that. I nice way to do mods are I/H/E , that will give you some extra ponies.
