2000 Saturn SWP (Postal) Right Hand Drive owner
I just purchased this Saturn SWP at the end of August. The previous owner did a lousy job of keeping up with the maintenance. In the past month I've replaced the motor, all the seals, A/C compressor, both front axles, left front door skin and fender, battery, radio, drivers seat, tires and rims, brakes (F&R), all four struts, catalytic converter. I just ordered a new power steering rack from GM today and it's leaking badly (very hard item to locate)
Normally I would never do this much to any car as I've already more than doubled the repair cost over what I paid for the car, but RHD vehicles are very hard to find these days. Once I'm all finished with these repairs I'll basically have a new car (with 143,000 miles on it)
I get a lot of weird looks from people driving down the street when they see me in an American car with the steering wheel on the right side. Some I have my dog side in the left seat when I run an errand and then I really get shocked looks from people.
Since I really need this car for my job as a Rural Carrier for the Post Office I'll be keeping it in good shape. Fortunately I found a wrecked 2000 Saturn SW2 in my local pick-a-part salvage yard that's even white. I've accumulated a nice little pile of spare parts from the other car.
This is my third Saturn as I've previously owned a 1992 SL1 and a 1996 SC2.

I'v seen these things. It is my understanding, right or wrong, that they were developed for a postal contract that did not take place so they were sold more or less locally to get rid of them. I know at least one rural postman that uses one in
Tennessee and bought another at the same time in storage to be used when he wears out the first and then use the present one as a parts car. Truth is stranger than fiction and a really unique car to own.
