hello all fellow saturn owners and lovers. i''m new to the forum (obviously) and just wanted to say hey. i own an 04 lvl 2 ion with the 2.2, 5-speed. i''m assuming that my car was a lease return cuz i got it with just over 49k miles in 08 (4 year 48k mile lease...). my car needs tlc as it was not well taken care of, but i come from a family of mechanics and car enthusiasts. all unnecessary repairs are being set on the back burner due to, well everyone knows why, right? i do love my car though. it''s my first car with less than 100k miles on it and it drives better than any others i''ve owned. the clutch is amazing, even if it is a bit finicky(not a huge fan of hydraulic, more for cable). the only thing i don''t like about it and may just be an issue i''ve dreamed up is the battery being placed in the trunk. i''m worried about increased battery draw over time. great little car though...fast and efficient.

Hello and welcome ........... battery in the trunk, well being away from the engine heat and vibration it may just last longer. In fact that seems to be the case here in AZ were batterys are fryed on the average of 22 months they seem to last about 60 months in the IONEdited by: sw2cam
