Default Hello from Minnesota

Well I totalled my Olds Alero about two weeks ago, and so I just bought a 1999 Saturn SC1. She has almost 168,xxx miles on her, she is the 1.8 5 speed, three door. There are only two problems that the engine has right now and those would be: problem one, either my EGR is bad, or the valve has something stuck in it, but that will be easy to fix, just a little carb cleaner to the valve if thats the only thing. and problem number two is i think one of the rockers in the engine needs a little tuning up, i can hear a little clicking noise coming from the engine when it idles and it speeds up as the car speeds up.

Right now so far i have the tails tinted and thats about it. I would like to do some minor exhaust work, like just cutting off the muffler and finding a nice little chrome pipe to weld on to it. I am not going to put a can on it

Future Projects:

Get a new deck (sense the old one got destroyed in the alero)
Get new wiring kit for the deck to my amps
Tint windows, 25% smoke all the way around
CAI
Interior LED's and hopefully some exterior LED work

The answer to that may depend on whether you are buying or selling or possibly who you are talking to.
Technically the DOHC engine is potentially quicker, but
I have owned engines where there was only one, and it was in the block and so were the valves and properly breathed on was quicker than snot.
But then--I'm old school
The point is to have fun, enjoy!
