Loving my Saturn! Is that normal??
Hello all!
I recently inherited an 05 Saturn Ion 1 basic model.....not even power windows and locks lol. I am loving how easy this is to work on and how available parts and things are for this car. Dad had it running like a TOP without much effort. I am having 2 issues that I could use some help with -
1. I have to replace the Crank Position Sensor - Easy enough, BUT do I need to take it to a shop and have them perform the relearning procedure or will it pick it up automatically? The error code it is spitting out is the old P0315. I am asking because in my previous golden oldie(as my kid like to call them) sync was automatic after a few minutes of running..
2. I went ahead and replaced the speakers(were the original crusty dusty ones) and the stereo to a DUAL model XDvd179BT. a tiny bit older as far as the whole media center thing with the dvd player, but hey, I liked it and it was a great price. So the issue here, the display goes black with the message No signal from Camera on the screen, I can still hear the station playing through the speakers that I had on but a lot lower volume. I used Metra harness 70-2102 as recommended by the various selector tools. There are, besides the AV inputs for the backup camera option which I have not installed yet, three wires remaining that had no matches from the radio harness to the wiring harness adapter. - Any Ideas are greatly appreciated!
