Hi,
Just wanted to get my feet wet in the forums, I just purchased a 2001 Saturn SL1 5 speed with 212K, LOVE IT!!!! I took my 2007 Ford Edge with 170K off the road this winter, that's how nice this little car is to drive in snow/ice, compared to the high tech abs, traction control that leaves me stuck going up hills and sliding through intersections in the Edge. If the Saturn could tow a 5000 lb trailer id sell the Edge. Can't believe I missed out on this little gem of a car for all these years. I Avg. roughly 10L/100KM (in the Saturn) and that's with heavy city driving in the winter with alot of idle time in between stops. Coming down from 20L/100KM (in the Edge) was a huge savings, i paid for the car in two weeks with the gas I saved (I am a delivery driver).
Anyways that's my welcome to Saturn story, P.s. (no rust hell yeah especially with all the salt Ontario likes to dump all over its roads.

thanks for the tip derf! i checked and i burn a little bit of course, but that was during a rather heavy footed break-in test. I'll keep watch now that its all checked up. 1/2 litre in 3000km is not too bad considering i was in the high rpm range cleaning out the carbon.
