The spam and crap has sure slowed down on the site. Not hearing from Unc makes a difference. Fact is non of us have been posting much. Hope all of you are doing ok. Make some noise if you read this.

Talk about noise - I'll add my comment ... looks like I'm going to have to replace one (or possible both) of my rear bearing hub assemblies on my '02 L200. Apparently, they are both in the process of failing. Kinda irritates me, cuz the bearings themselves are part of the hub assembly, and ya gotta do the entire assembly to change 'em out. Fortunately, the assembly is the same for the '02 through '05 series, so they are still on dealer shelves (at about $250 each) grrrrrrrrrrr

Think of the cash you'll save doing the work yourself.

No problems with mine for now. All is well. I'll be installing a new am/fm/cd player this weekend. My son let me know today that the one that's in it won't play any cd's at all. None of the ones I've bought nor any that we've burned work. I've got a nice Sony unit I took out of a car I sold earlier this year and will put that in. Probably get him some new speakers for his birthday next month too. I put new X-Plodes in the rear last month and they sound great. The door speakers suck.

Did that solve your shifting problems, Derf? If so, that's great news. Saved a lot of money by not having to get into replacing the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, let alone the transmission!

Octavious --

Checked with that site, and there's less than $5 difference between my local dealership and the price quoted there, and that'd be eaten up by the shipping costs. Thanks for the contact point though - I'm saving it for the future ......
