I need to post here more...
So, I've been absent more than I would like as of late, for no good reason... After my Redline became a expensive yard ornament, and other complications overrun my life, I haven't had much desire to post much, other than updating on the condition of my leg(now traced back to, well, my back)...
It seems, at times, that life is falling apart around me, but I try and keep at least one hand on the metaphorical steering wheel and brace for the next round of crap... Though, to quote the vocalist James Hetfield, "shoot me again, I ain't dead yet"...
To sum up the last couple months...
I'm looking at being off work for a period of a few months potentially for back surgery, and potentially could lose my wife's car(and thus my daily driver, necessitating fixing the redline enough to drive until a replacement engine is found), despite our trying to juggle our bills and keep afloat...
I need to keep closer to my second family than I have been lately...

Well, I don't know what sort of surgery, yet... I consult the surgeon on 12/22... My wife has her gallbladder removed on 12/21... The plant I work in is shut down 12/24-12/28...
I need to take off work for both appointments, but since I'm on night shift that week I don't know exactly what days to take off, given that either appointment is subject to change...
My wife's car, is just too much payment for us as of when she had to take a pay cut to stay employed... We constantly flirt with being behind on the payment...
My Malibu is a couple months ahead(not sure how much more headway can be made with erratic work schedule and overtime drying up) and should be paid off when tax returns come out, and it's being fairly reliable(other than typical old car crap like tie rod ends/struts/undiagnosed noise), if a little fuel thirsty; I've been averaging right at 25mpg with my three hills between home and work, and longer idling due to cold temperatures... Of course, fuel prices have plummeted to below $2/gal even here in WV, so it's not a huge concern, just hoped the L61 would return better than 25 to a gallon...
Not sure how you could help, unless you have a spare LSJ lying around to drop into my Redline...
