Things are busy around here. Amongst them, the 700R4 transmission I accumluted to place behind the Mercury Marine V8 that will go into the '75 Hornet wagon I have is now modified to work with out the computor. That was an education!
I need to dress up an I-6 engine and transmission to go into a T-bucket. That should be fun, I have the parts.
I have all parts to do an automatic and the automatic and I have some parts to do a 5 speed and everything needed to dress the engine up with.
The clear coat is going on my Saturn the second time now. Maybe time to think agout making it go away OR repainting it again.
As to the neighbor hood? A lot of the Saturns are gone now. Traded off and replaced by something else and a bunch of low dollar Saturns showing up in Beater Status.
The cycle continues, they are on their way out. Some of the Generic GM badge engineered designed by Opal, made by Dewoo and called GM corporate platform but in reality, badge engineered using propriotory parts are dying because you can not get parts for them when they quit.
Horribly expensive and time consuming to repair if broken.
And people bitched about Edsels. This debacle makes an Edsel look like a real good deal. At least an Edsel was assembled from made in America Ford and Mercury parts with a few special pieces including the badge that identified it.
