ROAD TRIP! Long over due to Cottonwood.
Gonna run to Cottonwood in the morning. I have a shopping list to fill;
1 BW T5 WC 5 speed
Assorted acc. mounting brackets for A/C, PS, Alternator, and what ever for small block chevy and if Serpentine belt, all pullys and idlers.
Misc. Saturn pieces if I can find any.
It should be a nice day. Its at about 3500 foot and will be a bit chilly and on occasion even hit snow.
I need a break, this works. Later if I find something neat to report.

1 A pair of aluminum finned tall Cheverolet Valve covers for my Chevy V8 engine I am building. The need polishing and detailing. But better than the new chrome cheap ones I found in December so they are now for sale.
2. All the mounting brackets, pullys and components complete with hardware to mount Alternator, Power Steering Pump, Smog Pump and A/C compressor along with a long shaft water pump and everything else except the A/C compressor. A combination of V belts and Serpentine belts. Don't know what year, don't care, everything is there. And the price is right. For the Chevy V8
3. A World class T5 from a Turbo -4 T-bird that with the correct change of the 1/2 cluster to a better gear ratio the transmission can be used for any one of my AMC applications.
What many people do not realise is that these overdrive transmissions are meant to be used with a final drive of high 2's or low 3's as first gear is geared way low. And it is a wide ratio spread. Also with a low first gear the torque rating is way low. The transmission I picked up as a 4:1 first gear and a 240 ft lb rating. Changine first gear to a 2.50:1 or close to that improves the torque rating to about 350 ft lb of torque and it also brings 2nd gear up too making the combination a almost close ratio 4 speed with a .8 overdrive. A final drive of about 3:15 to one then becomes a viable gear ratio and a 20mpg+ capability with a 400 cu in V8 and a big 4bbl and a heavy cam.
This is generally overlooked. I am aware of a few people who have done this with a 3.54 final drive and the package turns 1st into a Granny low, leaving a wide ratio 3 speed (2nd through 4th) and a deep over drive.
Not what I am willing to spend my money one.
4. A switch/light panel for the overhead consule for my SunRoof controls for my Saturn (actually quite a few Saturns in the Pick-A-Part and here in AZ with no Salt, some of them looked like late model used cars. Most of them seemed to be 2000 +/-no early ones.
And spent the day visiting with old friends who are beginning to build a reputation of 1st class custom cars.
Dang, some serious beautiful work and creative design for scratch built efforts.
The 1 hour programs of Chop Cut and Rebuild do not give any clue as to the time and money it takes to create some of the results. Along with a creative local wrecking yard of Vintage Tin. A really nice restoration or custome car is about a 14 month operation.
Dang
it was a nice day.
