It's normal for me to run 5-30 also. Will buy 10-30 if the shelf is void of 5-30. I said it before and I'll say it again. I use Mobil 1 ..... starting in 1978 and have never had an oil related problem. That also means none of my cars burnt oil. Any high grade synthetic motor oil should be just fine. Mind you.......once your burning oil, it's to late to switch to synthetic.

S-CAR oil burning is more related to not getting oil changes and or letting the car run on the hot side. I did a MM soak or used the SATURN top engine cleaner every 30K on my S-CARS. Not to mention they never got close to over heating.
