So whats next?
I was thinking about this the other day and it got me curious.
If your daily driver was totaled, and you couldnt find a nice, second hand Saturn, what vehicle would you go for?
Unfortunately, with Octavious (the car) starting to burn more and more oil (ive put just under a qt in to keep it full on oil so far, its only been 1300 miles since my last change) its time to start looking for another to fill the spot. my moms also raving about how shes not letting me get another Saturn (im still challenging this....) so I had to start searching
so at the end of the year, ill be on the hunt for either the new Mazda CX-5 (which you can get in a 6-spd!) or a Mazda Speed 3 (2010 and up) unless I can talk my mother out of no saturns. If thats the case Ill be looking for the newest Ion Redline I can find
Do not fear though - the Saturn is staying and becoming a project car.
But yea, what would be your choice?

I gotta be honest -- haven't thought that far ahead. Hopefully the ones I have will keep me on the roads until they don't let me drive anymore --> remember the old Midas commercials with the geezer that had a t-model? Drove 'em crazy with their 'life of the car' warranty on parts

I am not sure what I would look for as a late model second hand car. I guess that would depend on how much money I wanted to spend and what I wanted it for, but if I were to buy a Daily Driver new I would purchase one of the New Fiat 500's. An automatic, it is a 7 speed, it drives out nice, it actually drives like my SC2 Coupe.
I would want a 2 door and it is.
I'd want a sun roof and Syrrius Radio and A/C.
As to a Saturn, one of the reasons I never replaced the 94 SC2 coupe I own is;
1. I did not need to
and
2. After the S series cars, I really did not like them any longer.
I think I will repaint it again and have the drivers seat re-upholstered. And call it good to go.
It burns no oil yet and is a reliable driver.

Neighbors, and Brenden with the Astra that used to come on here lives a block away. Small neighborhood in a small town. Have another friend with a Redline QC in the same town I've been trying to get on here along with a few others from the Tempe/Mesa area.

Thats pretty cool. I wish there was that kind of a saturn community near me. Ive had a few fun encounters with other kids with saturns (ive run an sw2 off a light and met a riced up sl2.) I just saw a nice black 95shirt sc2 with some grey 17" wheels. Looked great.
Although i hang with my own friends,a ranger, a vw rabbit, nissan 240sx, 84' monte carlo, dodge ram, my bros mazda, ect. I kept up with the 2.5 rabbit on the highway. Living where i am though i see alot of cars tuned up like mine, get good looks and bad sometimes.
The guys at wawa know me just from my car
