Default Stupid Steering Wheel Covers

I found out earlier today that putting on a steering wheel cover is one of the most annoying things I have ever had to do. I mean I busted up my hands worse then I do during an engine swap.

I hope I'm not the only person who had this problem but I had to do it. Top of my steering wheel was sticky and left black stuff on my hands.

Please tell me I'm not alone.

i have a steering wheel cover in my ranger... the original red wheel was sticky and the cover leaves stuff on my hands, but not nearly as much... i had to wedge the thing on, but it does have a positive side other than not being sticky... the stock steering wheel has a tiny diameter rim which didn't feel very sporty at all and the cover made the rim feel thicker and gives me a better grip on the wheel when chucking the truck into corners...

sorry for the novel...

Yeah the Saturns have a tiny wheel too. Its much more fitting now. I would never put one on a new wheel. Just because it had issues. Guess the sun got to it.

But on another note the leather (fake maybe idk) on the cover has a horrible smell i didnt smell in the store. But now that its in my car. Wow! Its like a mix between a gassy or oily smell. Its makes my hands smell like it. I hope it goes away. Anyways I guess I'm never happy

LOL.

I can only assume its the wheel itself or the covering. Its just deteriorating from the sun and use with age i guess. Who ever owned it prior to me really liked to hold the wheel on the top.

I remember that the car I had done my 6hrs of driving in to get my permit had such a messed up steering wheel, the guy took sandpaper and sanded it even. It felt like a wet sponge and formed to your hand (that part was pretty cool) but it was funky. We even had to stop to put oil in it hahahaha.

I tried a steering wheel cover on the saturn, I didnt like it, It felt too big to me.

Default groves

I like the stearing wheel cover with finger groves all around it, and keeps the feel to stock, their at auto zone.

If I have to get one, I use the thin ones with the holes in them. Don't like the fat ones.
