I am interested, but most likely can't afford it's asking price... And it likely wouldn't be cheaper than fixing my SL1...

You might be surprised. PM me your serious absolute upper limit and we can discus out of sight of the scathing eyes of this forum......yes it's a backwards way to do things but the guy is an honest straight shooter and realizes the car ain't perfect. Plus you can determine right away if you're on the same wavelength.

So, heard anything from the owner? I'm seriously interested, but temps are dropping fast, and if I need to borrow more money, I'd rather fix my own car... I would like to know though...

You'd need more, the timing of the whole thing doesn't look like it will pan out, and, knowing your situation, I don't think it's the right move at the right time for you. Sorry if i sound like you mother; not trying to be condescending---just looking out for your best interests in this case.

VERY VERY SORRY for the delay in getting back to you.

Sounds good... I just needed to know before going further... Didn't wanna borrow money if it wasn't needed... Fixing my own car sounds pretty appealing at the moment... Seems better to live with the devil that you know, than to take a chance on the one you don't... And mines only got 95,241 miles(I still start it from time to time)
