Instrument Cluster

Instrument Cluster
Hey Guys, I went to Pull-A-Part today and found a really nice 93 SC 2 while I was there. 146,000 mile car and it had a perfect interior in it. Dark gray with red and blue threads in the seats and door panels. Anyway, I tried the odometer/trip meter and it reset back to zero when I pushed the button. I went ahead and grabbed the instrument cluster and since I needed the dash pad, when I got home, swapped the cluster with the one in my 94 and went for a short drive. Everything works as is should, including the trip meter. If anyone wants to buy it, I'll let it go for $35 plus shipping to you. I'll even include an extra one that a couple of clips are broken on, but works since I replaced the gears in for an extra $20. You can have both working instrument clusters for $55 plus shipping. Just PM me and let me know if you're interested. I don't need them, but if nobody wants them, I'll take the one apart that I put the gears in and just keep them for future use if needed.

Okay, Mike. Here are some photos. As you can see, my Saturn is almost the same color as my Grand Caravan. BUT, the clusters are here too! The lower mileage one is the one that I put the new gears in and it does work. As you can see, I broke the top two tabs and the upper left mounting ear on it. Also, when I went to put the bulbs back in, the upper left hole cracked and will no longer take a bulb. SO, that one could be used for parts. The other one is just as I pulled it out of my car after testing it. It worked great. I'm pretty sure either one would fit your SW, Mike, because they both came out of 93 model cars too. Pay no attention to the bloody pinkie finger. I got that removing the window lift mechanism for Unc. A couple of bolts were stripped in the bottom of the door panel, so I had to break the plastic off the outside of the door and got cut in the process. BUT, I got the assembly and the window out of that sucker.

Yep, I had to break the outer door skin off the door to get the window regulator for Unc. Someone had apparently tried to get it off, but stripped two of the bolts holding the skin to the door. It breaks pretty easily, but you gotta watch those sharp edges! Do you want one or both of the clusters, Mike?

You can practice taking the one apart that I put the new gears in. That way if you ever have to do it, you'll know how and won't have to worry about breaking any plastic! LOL and you'll have extra bulbs, screws and electrical contact grid.
