Default 21011109 Rear Wheel Brake Cylinder/Calper Bolt, S series 1991-1998

Per the subject, I am seeking a

GM Part# 21011109 Rear Wheel Brake Cylinder/Calper Bolt, S series 1991-1998. Holds the caliper to the hub (2 on each side).

I have one that is absolutely frozen and even my expensive 10mm Craftsman 6 point socket is starting to wear the corners off the bolt.
(I am yet to try heat, but it is not looking good)

Given the age of my Saturns, I would like at least 1, maybe more.

$3 part before discontinued in 2013.

It is a hex head flange bolt

Thanks.

Derf

This is for the slide pin moving part of the caliper bracket.

I'm looking for the bolts that hold the caliper to the hub

Hey Derf,

I found this website they say the part is still in stock. You can always call them to verify.

sweet -- I obviously missed one of the gmparts......dot whatevers.

Not sure how, but thank you for taking the time to dig on the net, Scoff.
Will follow up tomorrow.

gmpartsgiant and the other website that looks identical to it list it as in stock but it is not.

I'm starting to think that these places only order everyday stuff in bulk to get a discount and then order the more obscure parts JIT (just-in-time) style from gm and throw them in a box for shipment. That sourcing model keeps them from getting stuck with a pile of discon items that no one needs/wants

Also, I find it extremely odd that this bolt was only used in Saturns (rear caliper mounting and somewhere else). If I knew the specs for sure I'm positive I could get a replacement from someone like McMaster Carr.....

hence the FSM info request -- it might contain the bolt specs.

Scoffman,

I owe you some kind of something, as your lead pointed me towards the only gm dealer he could see that had inventory. Quantity: 1.

On order.

Shipping costs at least twice the part but who cares when the only alternative is a minimum 17/yr old junkyard part (not that I might not find a good one in a yard, but since Rube moved away from that awesome Saturn boneyard in TN, I fear slim pickins out here in W Pa where no one drives s cars and anyone that does has a DOHC b/c of the terrain).

That dealership that ultimately sold me the part was
Lou Fusz Chevrolet in Saint Peters | St. Louis Chevrolet Source located in Missouri.

He stated the dealership's owner used to own a Saturn distributorship so they have stray Saturn leftover inventory.

Thanks again, Scoff! Still gotta think what to get you......(sorry but won't be the bolt)

Did Bones leak that I'm a nut to the whole Forum?
I thought I had that contained.
