I received the emblem from SaturnParts but I don't know how to fasten it. It's about 2" x 3" andperhaps 1/4" thick. It has two stems protruding from theback. One, a 1/4" stub keeps the emblem aligned within the recessed enclosure on thebumper and another, a slightly tapered stem (about 1 1/4" long)protrudes from the back of the emblem, itfits loosely into a hole in the enclosure in the bumper.

The problem is that the emblemdidn't arrive with afastener; I believe it would be the kind such as used witha necktie pinor an auto-compression spring-steel nut-like fastener.I'm wanting to glue the emblembut I'mnot sure what type of glue would adhere to both the plastic backing of the emblem and the Gel-Coat paint on the bumper, perhaps some type ofepoxy? I suspect the glue would ooze into and around the stem and its hole and therefore provide the most purchase.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Kerry

Thats the ticket.....it's a "spring-steel nut-like fastener" or stamped steel nut, you can use a reg corse thread nut if you like. Becarefull not to over tighten.Edited by: sw2cam

Hi Sw2cam,

Thanks. I'm hoping someone will recommend a brand of epoxy/glue that I can use instead of, or even with, a stamped steel nut.
