I have a 2001 SC1 with 149000 miles on it and the darn low water light comes on intermittently. The water levelis good as well as circulation from what i can see. The gauge never runs hot even with these nice 95+degree days we've been having in Texas. No leaks anywhere that are visible. the pump seems tight. i'm guessing that i may have bad sensor or something. The light comes when i first start it and goes off about 5 to 10 minutes later and will come on and off through out my commute. I anyone has any ideas on what i can do to fix the situation i would love to here from you. thank you very much and everyone have a great day!

Its a very common issue. It happens when crud builds up on the sensor inside the resevoir tank. If it just started happening, you can remove the tank and clean it out with dish soap and hot water. If its been going on a while, you'll need a new tank. The sensor itself isnt replacable.
