I'm going to be replacing the radiator (plus hoses) tomorrow morning, it's a '97 SC2, DOHC 1.9, 120K miles. Everything is original (as in from-the-factory-hoses) on it, and I was just wondering if anyone has any hints/tips/tricks. I have the Chiltons manual, and I've done radiators before on larger (V8 chevy trucks) vehicles, so this won't be my first time, but I was just wondering if anyone could ease the process.

Thanks in advance,
Nason.

Its extremely simple. Theres one 10mm bolt on the upper right side of the fan shroud. Remove that and unsnap the shroud. Disconnect the fan elictrical connector and disengage the harness from the to harness retainers snapped onto the shroud. Remove the upper and lower radiator hoses. Then there is two brackets attaching the radiator to the radiator support. There will also be a couple 10mm bolts attaching the A/C condenser to the front of the radiator as well.

Most radiators dont come with the speed nuts to attach the condenser or fan shroud. Make sure you remove them from the original radiator.

Thanks Mike,
It was insanely easy compared to other vehicles I've done, it took me roughly two hours from opening the hood, to adding and checking antifreeze levels, and that included going back to the auto parts store twice.

I got ripped a new one for the radiator though, the cheapest one in town was $149, kinda ticked me off since they're like 78 bucks online...
