All is cool around here.....................nothing wild and crazy going on. I'm sure our mods are the reason for that.

If at all possible I'd like to revamp this thread. I know the Astra is dead and gone (in the states anyway) however we just took one in at the dealership I work for and I am considering taking it home with me. I would like to see if there are any (current) websites or shops one can go to for aftermarket parts, cosmetic as well as performance. The links I went to on the first page (posted like 7 years ago) seem to be dead or not working so I would like to know if there is a reliable aftermarket (or even Opal counterpart) site that I can order from to get this sweet little ride even better? Thank you ahead of time for your responses and info!

you could try to pm 08astraxr . Other than him there are very few Astra owners period and even fewer that are members here.

I'm sure a deep dive into the net will bring you some results. Pull up the Saturn Astra on wikipedia; see what the opel equivalent is---you will then be able to track down parts in Europe

Long time no type!! How are my fellow Saturn drivers doing?? As far as for aftermarket parts for my Astra, I've found very few, and have purchased zero. One thing i did do was I made my own cold air intake. Was very simple, had some plastic tub laying around and got me a cone k&n filter. I really didn't notice any change to performance or gas mileage. One thing i did notice was that bright check engine light come on periodically. I had read that those cars didn't like cold are intakes, something about the turbulence going through the mass air meter would through the light. As far as going to jegs or summit and looking for parts you'll find very little, if any. I read and seen people that have gotten Opel stuff for the Astra but it's been awhile since I've looked. I've just been driving my car, haven't really messed with it. Most of the after market stuff I've found was all across the pond. All I did was put a nice stereo system in the car and left it at that. It's been a great car and a lot of fun to drive. I'm sorry I could be more of a help, but if you have any questions let me know!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and give us the update on your ownership, enjoyment, and unfortunately severe lack of aftermarket support in the USA.
