2006 Saturn ion 2 entering limp mode
So i just bought a Ion last week and the guy who sold it to me told me the check engine light was on because of an Evap sensor. So i brushed it off because he said it ran fine. But then after being able to drive it for the first time today after about 30 minutes it entered limp mode with the engine misfiring like crazy. Looking for some advice because I've seen posts where they fix the part and it immediately turns on the check engine light again.

I would start with the crankshaft position sensor. It is buried behind and just above the starter. It might be easier to access with the intake manifold removed. I can take a picture of a short block I have on a stand if that will help.

My first post on the Saturn forum.
I have a 2006 Ion too. And have been having limp mode problems. I put a new throttle body on it and that worked for awhile then limp mode again.
Then a new accelerator pedal and that worked awhile. Then limp mode again.
I then I tried the clean all the 5 volt plugs and the bulk head connector at the left kick panel. That worked awhile and we are back doing the limp mode deal.
I'm about lost and don't trust the car anymore
