Mechanic probably wired the existing harnes to the 2.4, and being the 2.2 didnt have vvt, doesnt get that pleasure.

No Variable Valve Timing for better low end torque. However, the 2.4 and my tranny are a perfect match. Less revving and shifting. It won't win the quarter mile but it feels like a V-6.

What year block?
If its an 06/07, get a full exhaust on, slap an m62 blower with it. Tune it for 6-7psi, and have some fun

A 2008 Block. Would a new ECM allow VVT? Am I getting greedy?

Not sure if the harness would be the same being yours was already tampered with. <br />
I rather have a better feel of the low end torque though.
Well, then again, was your harness changed or rewired?

You can get an 08 pcm for cheap. I guess it would be worth picking up to see if it would line up. You would have to do a pcm relearn then. Or if it doesn't work, could just resell it then.
