Default not running properly

the history is my 2004 Ion has the 2.2L Ecotech motor which I rebuilt recently and since then does not run properly as in I cannot drive it. I did make very sure that the timing chain is aligned correctly and it has 125 cranking pressure. It will start but idles with about 8 inches vacuum and it sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders, eventually it sets a light and the code was MAP so I replaced that and no difference. Before I start replacing parts like the coil pack I want to know is what sensors plug into the block and where. My memory tells me there are 2 sensors at the front and 2 at the rear The one at the rear is the O2 and I guess one at the front is the oil sending light Thanks

yes 125 across all 4 cylinders, really closer than I expected and after a warmup the leakdown was less than 5% again really good so mechanically I know I did not miss anything but electronically I did

update is I am becoming frustrated because I found a picture of what they call proper alignment of the timing chain and it's not 10:00 on exhaust and 2:00 on intake so I reset the cams to the picture and now it will run at 1500 rpm with 22 inches of vacuum,so that's real good and probably an air leak is preventing a lower idle speed so I am gonna check that plastic intake

How did I not see this.
I've known it to be 10 and 2. Interesting.
Sounds like a vacuum leak now that the timing issue is fixed. Let us know. I'm in for more info.
Make sure all hoses are connected correctly, and clean the air filter, intake, and throttle body while you're at it. Make sure nothing is getting stuck.

Found the problem and it runs like a champ. Engines run with approximately the same setting of intake opens so many degrees before TDC and the exhaust closes about the same degrees ATDC so I checked that way and found and set them the same which ended up being the exhaust cam at 10:45 and the intake at 1:30 So much for following instructions and I'll go by what works and this now leaves me with a water pump to do and upgrade the stereo Thanks guys cause I found a picture of the timing chain installation on another thread which started me thinking about valve timing and getting out the degree wheel.

I like this information.
Very useful when I decide to build my motors.
