2001 saturn
i have a 2001 saturn. Its a 4 door sedan. It has the 3.0 v6 which is locked up in it. Having a hard time locating a engine for it. I see that some cars like mine have the 2.2 in them. What will i need to change over to put a 2.2 in my car? Thanks

Welcome. The two cars only share the body all the drivetrain and all the wiring are different. Not anything even I would entertain and I have built many cars from the ground up. Unfortunately if you cannot locate a replacement engine it is time for a different car. Look at car-part.com for a wrecking yard near you, that may have an engine.

I agree with Andy 100%. Where are you located? If you're in a state with a Pull-A-Part, they're a great place to get parts at very good prices. Just go to pullapart.com and check for cars. They won't show what engines are in them, but you'll be able to check the Saturn inventory and go have a look. If you find an engine, once you get it all loose, they'll pick it out of the car with a forklift and put it in your truck, on the trailer or whatever you brought to haul it home.
