2003 LW200 drivers seat height/replacement
I’m looking for a drivers seat replacement for the original/standard manual seat that has a manual height adjustment or is built with a higher cushion. My granddaughter is on the shorter side and I’d like better safety visibility for her. Haven’t been able to find anything besides a wedge cushion ! Thanks …

They made three different driver’s seats for these cars based on option level. The base model is just forward and back. The mid level had a manual height adjustment. It would ratchet up and down with a handle. I consider this trim level rare, I have only owned one L with this seat option. The electric seat option is available with both cloth and leather. The leather is also heated. All seats plug and play in the L series. The wiring is installed in all trim levels. To remove the seat, move it all the way forward and remove two allen headed bolts in the rear of the track. Also remove the trim to access the seat belt from the lower part of the seat. Lift the rear of the seat and pull the seat toward the rear and disconnect the electric plug.

Thanks for your nice reply … mine is a LW200 ( not 300 ) and has the basic forward/ back seat. I don’t want to do power seat.
that mid level seat you mention ( assume an original option on the 300 but not the 200 ) would be great if it’s interchangeable. Didn’t know there was such a seat. Now I gotta track one down. Good luck, huh !

this is a good resource to locate parts, enter what you are looking for and zip code. The service is provided by the wrecking yards themselves to show what parts they have available. Search manual driver’s side only and use the base under your seat. You may have to search and call to verify the manual raise and lower function. I have had at least 10 of these cars and only one had this option.
