I have a '99 L series Saturn that has a manual transmission. Recently the plastic part thatconnects the stick shift to the transmission linkage system broke and the dealership says I have tobuy and install a wholenew linkage system. I'm trying to find the plasticconnector thatconnects theshifter- any ideas on where to find one?

Unfortunately, Saturn does not offer these cheesy little pieces separately. To the best of my knowledge, the entire linkage comes as a single unit (part #), so they can't order it separately and thus can not offer it to you. Same deal for the S-cars, I believe.

Guess you could try a junkyard.....check with Saturn Parts dept before you go to the yards to see if they used the same style linkage connectors for the S-cars -- you'll have more to choose from if this is the case.

Or just suck it up and pay the piper.....
