hesitation at 2k rpm
#1
Hello, and thanks very much for the info about the ects. That's fixed and now am having a problem with a slight hesitation. It idles perfect now at 800rpm or so but if i slowly give it gas until it gets to 2k rpm it studders and slows down to 1k or so until i give it more gas so it seems like there's a dead spot at 2k that makes it run crappy until proceeding above.. Any ideas? Thanks alot for all the good info. Btw I am a computer technician and if you are around the Eugene, Oregon area I will gladly trade work for help with the car!! Thanks again! Have you replaced the plugs & wires? How about PCV?
Throttle body cleaning?
Start with the easy (obvious) stuff....
Go with the stock Saturn parts, especially the PCV -- aftermarket PCV passes way too much oil....
Possible TPS (throttle position sensor) issue -- but, like I said, go for the easy stuff first...don't start swapping sensors just yet.......

Sorry it took so long to get back.. Been working alot lately. I replaced the wires, pcv, ect, air filter, and cleaned the throttle body taking care to also get the air sensor hole. The problem persists... I don't know, it might not be quite as bad but is still doing it... Doh! What's the next step here? Thanks alot! Sam
