Indicator light on dashboard
#2
Sure do, it means your radiator overflow tank is low on fluid. Now, befor you go getting excited, sometimes these sensors get cruddied up with chemical salts from the anti-freeze, so here is a tip:
Check the level first thing in the morning, before you have driven anywhere. Make sure it is at or just above the mark on the expansion tank. Add coolant if necessary to bring it up to the proper level. That should cause the light to extinguish.
Now, if you find the tank was already at the proper level, that means you have more work to do. Drain the tank, (OK to save the fluid if you wish), disconnect the sensor wires and removethe tankfrom the vehicle. Plug the outlet and fill tank partly with water, and 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Shake vigorously until you can hear the level sensor rattle, then empty the tank and rinse thoroughly. Reinstall in the vehicle, connect hoses and sensor wires, and fill to the proper level.
You should be good to go ...
