It lives!
Will it idle?
If the engine is over the full mark on the dipstick you need to let some of the oil out. Down to the full mark.
You did not over rev your engine. Oil on the exhaust manifold smokes and catch fire so drain some of the oil out.

02 LW300,
Yes it does Live! Very glad to know that the engine ran. Also glad I did not over rev it. The oil I am getting ready to attempt clean up using engine degreaser. Another board is suggesting a vacuum leak as the culprit for no idle.
It will not idle at all. And passlock ended up locking me out after it seized. Currently the battery is so drained that it does not start or jump by a jumpbox. Only block to block and I don't see that being a solution to continue to crank over until I clean up and see what I can find.
Would you advise anything else besides cleaning the oil up and checking vacuum leaks like someone else suggested?
Thank you!

I’ll look at one of the 3.0 Liters I have tomorrow and give you suggestions of where to look for vacuum leaks. I would recharge your battery and have it load tested where you buy your batteries. Jump boxes and jumper cables are only for temporary low battery use. The engine needs a good charged battery installed in the car to run and diagnose other issues. Just get the oil level where it needs to be and worry about the clean up after it runs correctly.

Thank you. I am pretty certain I found the culprit. The alternator is drenched in oil. I am calling it the hall of shame. I will post pics shortly.
Best Regards,

Hi Brandon, This is Rj from the Saturnfans forum. Discard any and all information I provided to you about rebuilding the Oil Separator PCV modular because the rebuild does not fix anything! There are others on YT that says it does, but in my case, I destroyed our engine and it made oil leak worse. I suggest you stop dumping money into your LW300 because it is at it's end of life. When a Saturn L300 engine starts puking oil... there is very little that can be done to fix it unless you are willing and able to rebuild the entire engine.
It makes me sick to have to junk this car. We have had it since day one, Year 2000. My wife loved her car. I've recent replace the sub-frame, all brakes/rotors, all four struts, muffler, tires and many other items. We dumped a lot of money into this car in the last two years and now it's junk. I failed miserably! Save yourself the same fate and stop dumping money into an engine which is end of life.
