L200 & L300 HID Kit
#1
Gentlemen,
Just yesterday I received my H11 HID kit in the mail for my 2003 L200 Sport. Intall took only 20 minutes with no cutting of wires. I decided to get the 4300K kit since OEM HID's are no more than 4100K.
Here is my problem. The beam pattern is all funky, much diffrent than the halogen beam pattern. Has anyone else made such a conversion??? If so, did you have to modify anything??? Does anyone have any suggestions?? I hope you guys can help.

Well,
Since I didn’t get any replies, I assume that not many people have really put HID conversions on their L Series Saturn’s. After an hour of internet research and a few hours in the garage, I have them working beautifully.... They look amazing. My projector lens put out a nice purple/blue cast, but sends out a true white light on the road. I ended up modifying the shields to cast a proper beam pattern. If anyone needs that link, here it is. http://www.houseofthud.com/cartech/hids/index.htmlIt helped me for sure. I may take some pics and post them so you all can see. I am very happy with my new HID headlights... Sweet!!!

Hello Members,
Just dropping in to post some pics of the HID's on my L200. The camera I used was the one on my Palm Treo. I will retake photos with my nice Digi Cam. This is just so you all get an idea of the diffrence. The light looks diffused, its cause of the camera. But you can see the brightness. Let me know if anyone has any questions.

I actually experienced problems with my daytime running light/automatic light sensors when I installed my HIDs. I ended up removing the DRL fuse and now they work perfect. Never experienced an irregular beam pattern though.
