1992 SL 2 Fuel Filler Vent Hose

1992 SL 2 Fuel Filler Vent Hose
GM part number 21011406 is no longer available.
Flange on plastic tank measures 0.825".
Flange on filler. Vent pipe comes in at 0.570"
We have a problem. Bigger on one end, of we use 3/4 inch fuel line we will leak gas at the filler pipe flange.
If we use 9/16 inch fuel line we could possibly break or crack the flange on the plastic tank trying to squeeze it on.
A search on alternate sources turns up nothing. Gates, spectra Premium. Crown Automotive, ,Omix-Ada, Summit Racing. O Reily's, Advanced Auto Parts we're all dead ends.
Some of the above vendors received poor reviews such as "the hose started to crack two years ago after I bought it" and we do not want to crawl in the dirt at the auto wreckers trying to wrestle a 6 inch used piece of fuel line for three hours in the sweltering heat.
Looks like some folks boil some 9/16" those in order to loosen it up to stretch it over the fuel tank flange. Others use alcohol which does not seem like a good idea.
For some reason, filler vent hoses for Jeep. Wranglers show up a lot, the have formed hoses, 90 degree bends, one end bigger. But the big end is 1 inch, too big for the Saturn.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Go crawl in the dirt in a wrecking yard if you want a part that fits. Part of the joy of owning a Saturn.
Watch your yards for new arrivals of Saturns whose part is compatible with your year of vehicle. Fresh wreck or blown engine from no oil at least tells you it was running and somebody has been putting gas in it. Doesn't guarantee it doesn't leak but you'll be able to tell once you get under there. Bring two floor jacks and some wood to put under them and a friend if you intend to get one up in the air. And some jack stands. Then you are crawling on the dirt, not in it. Be safe.

I have about three tons of cinder blocks and wood under the car now. Use to crawl under the car with just a floor jack like the Nascar guys do but that makes me nervous nowadays.
Funny thing, while doing detective work on this hose I noticed that the part numbers are taller where the hose fits over the gas tank flange, in other words, this factory GM hose has been stretched to fit over the flange, this increasing the font size of the part number as it goes from 9/16" to 3/4". I bet GM kept those hoses in a toaster oven at 212 F during installation.
