The car has 138000,Manual,2.1 liter?Would start car in morning and drive away.It started to stall out if I didn`t let it come up to operating temp and wouldn`t restart for 10 minutes.Noticed latley that the idle starts at 1200rpm and it hicups and stalls while comming up to temp and idle goes down.Thank`s.

what kind of saturn is this...2.1L

i know of the 1.9l (sohc dohc) the SC2.0, 2.2, 2.4 (all ecotaks)

id try cleaning my throttle body, and then cleaning the coil mounts (assuming this is an s series) fyi where they mount to the tranny. And inspecting your plugs.

If you have the original engine coolant temperature sensor(ECTS) that tends to crack you'll need to remove it and check if its the plastic tipped one. Its the two-wire one and when it cracks it leaks coolant into the connector that corrodes it also. The two-wire connector then needs to be replaced, from eithera junk yard air temperature sensor connector or the dealer's $30 part. Although the engine seems to run at the right high idle when cold (1200 rpm) the coolant sensor may be damaged and inputting incorrect temperature information to the PCM affecting warm-up.
