2000 sl. 272,000 miles. Ran fine, shut the car off. Then started car 1 hr. later. It ran very rough. little power. Code says "cam sensor condition." Did oil change, plugs, wires, and crank shaft sensor. I don't want to sink a lot of money into a car with so many miles (timing belt). Anyone have suggestions? Very much appreciated.

 

After you replaced the crankshaft sensor, did the failure code clear?

 

Yoy did not mention replacing the Cam sensor ?
