Default 2001 SL starting problems HELP

Ok I have a 2001 sl and heres the story. Recently I have been have trouble starting the car I had to press the gas to the floor while turning the key to get that bad boy to start. Then all of a sudden nothing happened when I tried to start it and I heard a single click. So come to find out my stater was bad took it to autozone and it failed all tests. I got a new starter and also tested that one and it was good so I installed it myself.... Get in the car and tried to start it and it sounds like the starter tries to start the engine but the engine doesnt turn over at all. My battery is new and fully charged and my starter is good. I dont know what else could be causing this problem. I also was reading around on here and I changed the cpk because I thought that could be the problem.. still no luck, It just tries to turn over but the engine never kicks on... Im just a part changer and dont have the money to bring to a shop and get fixed any suggestions ??????

Check the first things you fixed, then check battery cables.

Well, I certainly hope not -- be a real bummer to spend all that money on a new starter, only to find the engine's no darn good

unless it was overheating badly or ran it with no oil etc the last time you drove it before having these issues I would not think your engine is seized

well when im low on oil the light on the dash comes on, but i remember it was getting hard to start at one point and i checked my oil and it was very low... so I changed it and it was running after that so im not too sure. Is there a way to find out if your engine has seized? because if that is the case I dont wanna put anymore money into the wrong area trying to fix it..
