I have a 2002 SL & the "Service Engine Soon" light has come on, after reading some of the posts on this & other websites, I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Go to Autozone or similar and get codes read for free. Write down the actual codes (Pxxxx) and post them here -- we'll help you sort through them.

I have the same problem. Is you car running rough or does it feel like a piston is mis-firing?

The error code reading was as follows

P0128 "coolant temp below thermostat regulating temp"

If anyone could point me in the direction as to what needs replacing or servicing I'd appreciate it. Thanks again guys.

Your thermostat has gone bad. Replace it. It can be done from thetop, and if you have a decent wrench and socket setthis repair should cost less than $50.00

</>I also have a 2002 SL1 and the service engine light came on.

I had the codes read and was told that they were:

P0301 and P0507

Can someone tell me what they are and if I should have the codes reset? Edited by: flattfoot

I agree, had the same code P0507, and it was the intake manifold gasket.
