I have a '96 SL2, few months ago it had a coolant leak and I paid over 600 bucks to get it fixed. Its been running fine since then.

But since last week the coolant light has started glowing them, the interesting thing is the light will not glow right off, it will start glowing once i drive my car for a while, it will blink for a while and then stop. My car is not overheating either.

Any idea on this ???

Just unplug the light or fuse, you have no worries, just manually check the coolent level once in a while. and just keep a slight view of the temp. gauage. My check engine light kept coming on but it was reading code 12 which means all is good. so i just unpluged it.

Check coolant level sensor in the bottom of the coolant expansion tank -- failure not uncommon.
