Default hmmm

So, I read further, did some more searching on here and wonder if it could be the EGR valve. I am going to unplug that and try it, today.

Default thought that was it.....but

Disconnected the EGR valve and gave it a drive and thought it was cured, but upon restart and rapid decel, it did the old "cut out" routine. Not horrible, but still there. I am thinking I might have gotten a bad wire in those plug wires. OK, I have talked to myself long enough. Any ideas?

is it an actual explosive misfire or just a miss?

missing, just like a bad plug or plug wire

could indeed be a marginal wire or plug -- recommend using stock NGK plugs gapped at 040. Try that first,

if you are not gettin misfire codes you may wish to pull EGR and clean it, especially if you have never done so--it may be hanging up --clean with carb/choke cleaner
