I guess if I was the one working on the engine, and it was described as you are describing yours, I would want to know two things.
What does a compression test say? Why, it's burning oil.
What does the fuel pressure say? Why, major running problems.
Why would I do those things? I have the tools to do them, and Bought then for the prupose of analysing a problem before I spent my money by throwing at it and not fixing it.
I'd also want to find out what codes are being generated. Which means at this time I would buy an OBDII Code reader. They are now under $100.00 and not buying a fuel pump, would pay for it with change if there was no reason to buy one other than throwing it at the car hoping it would fix something.

What was done (changed) between the time your dad drove it home from the auto shop, and today at 1:10pm when you wrote your last entry ???

this is what my dad has told me is going on with my car. when the key is on it has 60 lbs pressure, when u try to start it only has 50 lbs pressure,
now it won't fire at all. he has replaced the crank sensor, coolant temp sensor, plugs, fuel filter, and he says the current problem
seems relative to a no spark, no injection condition. Any more ideas?

I like the part where he drained the fuel, raised the car in the air high enough to drop the fuel tank, removed the electronic fuel pump, and then toook it to the parts store where a guy that just learned how to operate the cash register that makes $6.50 an hour tested the pump and gave it his seal of approval.

I am on here trying to get help figuring out what is wrong...my dad doesn't have internet so I am putting what he tells me in words the best way I can figure out. Sorry if you think it's silly. I just want my car fixed. And he had the fuel pressure checked, my mistake that he had the actual pump tested.
